A NEW RENAISSANCE...
Means a new beginning, which you can say every season is, every day is - as well as every hour and every new collection.
Working on this collection I was inspired by my new surroundings in Italy - and by all the classic elements used in the gardens and villas by the lake. Centuries old, the decor represents a time gone by, and yet it is more beautiful than ever - still gracefull, elegant and interesting and amazingly untouched.
The colors of the lake during winter time when the season is over, is no less beautiful. The long shadows and the crisp air make everything stand out sharper. The lake itself looks more blue, more green - and deeper. The flaming vibrant red, yellow and orange of the enormous variation of trees are glowing more than anything I have ever seen.
Everything is so different from where I grew up, which makes me very much aware of everything I see, and everything I see gives thought to inspiration.
Remember that with your home, you tell a story of who you are - or who you want to be.
Now I am living by the lake in Italy, maybe I will become Italian?
